Non-Discrimination Policy

Fort Smith Regional Airport (FSM) makes every effort to ensure passengers, personnel, and visitors are met with respect, equitability, and dignity. We follow Civil Rights regulations, specifically Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, (Title VI) prohibits discrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. Title 49 United States Code (U.S.C) & 47123 provides similar protections to individuals that participate in an activity carried out with money received from an Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant. It also extends protection on the basis of sex and creed. The Age Discrimination Act of 1975 prohibits discrimination on the basis of age in Federally-assisted programs.

It is unlawful for airport operators and their lessees, tenants, concessionaires and contractors to discriminate against any person because of race, color, national origin, sex, creed, or disability in public services and employment opportunities.
